Challenge yourself!

Happy New Year!

As we welcome in the new year, many people make resolutions with the best of intentions. However, statistics show that most New Year's resolutions fail. In fact, a study by the University of Scranton found that only 8% of people actually achieve their resolutions. So, why do we even bother making them?

One reason might be that we feel pressure to make changes and improvements in our lives. Another reason could be that we want to fit in with societal expectations. But the truth is, we don't need a specific date to make positive changes in our lives. We can choose to better ourselves and our circumstances any time we want.

So, why do New Year's resolutions often fail? One reason is that they are often too broad or unrealistic. Losing 50 pounds, for example, is a great goal, but it's not something that can be achieved overnight. Setting small, achievable goals is a much better way to make lasting changes.

Another reason resolutions fail is that people don't have a plan for how to achieve them. It's important to have a clear strategy for how you will reach your goals, whether it's through exercise, diet, or some other method.

So, if you're looking to make positive changes in your life, but don't want to rely on the often-doomed New Year's resolution, consider trying yoga. Yoga is not only a great form of exercise, but it can also help with stress management, improve flexibility and balance, and even boost self-esteem.

The beauty of yoga is that it is accessible to people of all ages, sizes, and fitness levels. All you need is a mat and comfortable clothes. There are many different styles of yoga to choose from, so you can find the one that best fits your needs and preferences.

Incorporating yoga into your routine can have a profound impact on your physical and mental well-being. And the best part is, you don't have to wait for the new year to start practicing. You can begin your yoga journey anytime and see the positive changes it brings to your life.

Instead of a resolution, how about a challenge? EveryBody Zen Yoga & Fitness just kicked off our January challenge where you can win some awesome prizes by making yoga a healthy habit! Check out the posters below to see how it works and come by the studio to put your name on the challenge board.

So, let's ditch the New Year's resolutions and embrace the power of yoga to bring about positive change in our lives. Namaste!
